Yoga is believed to be a main part of the Hinduism religion. It is said “There is no Yoga without Hinduism and no Hinduism without Yoga." Yoga is a group of spiritual practices used in the Hinduism religion and many others in India. Yoga is mainly focused on the posture. There are many different branches of yoga: Hatha Yoga, Karma Yoga, Jnana Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, and Raja Yoga. The belief is that the practice of yoga will lead to a connection between the human and the divine and it will lead to a “silence of the mind”.

I didn't realize there's that many different types of yoga!
i didnt realize that yoga was a Hindu practice especially since it is now such a common excercise program.
that's awesome to learn about how yoga is part of the religion! i never knew it was linked to any religions, so that's super interesting!
I never knew that there were so many different kinds of yoga and that they had any relation to religion. Now that I think about it though it does seem to go with religion since you can relax and be happy. Yoga does seem to be a good way to silence the mind.

This was really interesting, because I didn't know that yoga was a practice of Hinduism. I also didn't realize all of the different types of yoga that there were. It is really interesting to know that so many people do yoga, but not all of them practice Hinduism.

This is pretty interesting because i never ever really thought about where yoga came from and its background!
I agree! That is a lot of different types of yoga. I guess I knew that yoga was a Hindu practice but I never really think about that part of it because its such a widely known type of exercise these days.
